BOYNEXTDOOR drops pre-release track ‘Dangerous’

BOYNEXTDOOR dropped a pre-release track titled “Dangerous” along with an accompanying music video.

Included in their highly-anticipated 3rd EP “19.99″ slated for Sept. 9, “Dangerous is a groovy yet powerful hip-hop track that captures the carefree charm and youthful exuberance of K-pop’s free-spirits. It narrates the story of sneaking out at night, exposing the secrets one would prefer to keep hidden from one’s parents. The track is full of BOYNEXTDOOR’s signature wit and energy with members Jaehyun, Taesan, and Woonhak working on the composition and lyrics to directly translate their relatable real-life experiences into song.

The music video fully embodies the track’s narrative. It follows the six members’ sneaky attempt to take their parents’ car keys and embark on a nighttime escape, only to ultimately drop them into a dumpster by accident, leading to a hectic midnight search. The wild experience is live-streamed on social media, capturing the essence of what it’s like to be a 19.99-year-old with kitschy, meme-like moments. The familiar settings, such as a family home, noraebang (karaoke room), and rooftop, also allow viewers to relate to and reminisce about their own youth.

BOYNEXTDOOR’s 3rd EP “19.99,” which candidly explores the immature yet innocent thoughts and dilemmas of youth at the cusp of adulthood, will be available on all streaming platforms worldwide on Sept. 9 at 5 p.m. PHT.
