Taemin to leave SM Entertainment after 16 years

Taemin leaves SM Entertainment
SHINee’s youngest member and ace Taemin will leave SM when his contract ends

SHINee’s Taemin will end his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment after 16 years, , according to the report of Daum News. .His contract is ending by  the end of the month. However, he will continue his activities with SHINee  under the agency.

In another report by Spot TV News, the artist will be moving to Big Planet Made Entertainment (BPM). Other artists under BPM are Viviz and Lee Mu-jin.

He debuted at 14 years old as the main dancer of the five-piece group. Taemin famously got accepted to the agency because he fearlessly kept crossing the line while dancing to “Scandalous”  on top of showing his potential.

As the maknae (youngest) of SHINee, he was doted on by the older members Onew, Jonghyun, Key and Minho. Taemin will eventually become an industry ace, known for his good looks, powerful dance moves and savage sense of humor.

He is the only idol to debut in three generations of Kpop.  Taemin debuted as a second generation idol with SHINee, a third generation soloist  and a fourth generation member of Kpop supergroup SuperM.

Some of the songs he popularized include “Replay,” “Lucifer,” “Jopping,””Danger,” “Move,” “Criminal” and the viral TikTok challenge “Guilty.

SHINee’s leader Onew is also set to leave the agency when his contract expires this year.
