Super Junior‘s Ryeowook announced his upcoming marriage in an Instagram post on March 29. The group’s maknae wrote a handwritten letter to ELFs (Everlasting Friends, Super Junior’s fandom) .
In the letter, he thanked ELFs (Everlasting Friends, Super Junior’s fandom) for their love and support since his debut with Super Junior in 2005. He wanted to make sure they heard the news about his wedding directly from him. He expressed his gratitude to his members and everyone supportive of his decision.
The wedding will take place in May.

He writes:
“Good afternoon. This is Super Junior Ryeowook
My ELF, who always supports and sends love with all their strength, I have news that I want to personally convey to my dearest friends. This is a letter that I write with the hope that my sincere heart will be conveyed to you.
I was 19 years old on November 6, 2005 when I first met ELFS in early winter. Twenty years my debut, I became 38-year-old Kim Ryeo-wook.
Then, now and always, our ELFs have secured their place next to us. I think we have become stronger through happy and sad together.So now I want to be the first to say this, but I’m more careful to say it.
As you all know I have a fanmeeting.During the time we’ve been together, the desire to be part of another family with me has come naturally.

In Super Junior fashion, where everything gets settled by rock, paper, and scissors, Eunhyuk suggested the game wherein the loser will have to get married first.
Heechul said marriage is sacred, so it should be the winner. Shindong added that whoever wins must marry in 3 years, otherwise he must pay each member 1 million won. The finalists were Donghae and Ryeowook, and eventually Ryeowook won. He was all smiles after and confident.
The following year, Ryeowook confirmed he is dating Ari (a former member of the girl group TAHITI).
