ASTRO member Moonbin passed away at the age of 25.
His agency confirms through this post:
It reads:
This is Fantagio.
First, we would like to apologize for conveying a heartbreaking message.
On April 19, ASTRO member Moonbin suddenly left us and became a star in the sky.
Although it cannot be compared to the grief of the bereaved family who lost their beloved son and brother, the Astro members who have been with him for a long time, as well as all the Fantagio staff, fellow artists and executives, are all deeply mourning him with great shock and sorrow.
It is even more heartbreaking to deliver this sudden news to the fans who have supported Moonbin and gave him unwavering love. We all know how his heart has always loved and thought of his fans more than anyone else, making the grief overwhelming.
We earnestly ask you to refrain from making speculative and malicious reports so that the bereaved family who are deeply saddened by the sudden news can respectfully mourn him.
In accordance with the wishes of the grieving family, the funeral will be held as quietly as possible with the presence of family members and colleagues.
Once again, we express our deep mourning as he walks his final journey.
Moonbin was a singer, dancer, actor and model. The idol lived his life cheering Arohas (Astro’s fandom) up. His megawatt smile brightened the world of everyone around him. He means so much more than the way he died. He was beloved. ‘
Our condolences to his family, Astro, and the Aroha community.
