Fans get creative for their ‘Hallyuween’ costumes

No storm or strong winds can spook Filipino K-pop fans. They braved braved heavy rains on Saturday to party with their favorite K-pop artists for Hallyuween 2022!

They came decked in fabulous Hallyuween costumes and colorful makeup. Thousands trooped to SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City for a night of mischief and fun with six of K-pop’s hottest acts on Halloween eve.

K-pop queen CL, hip-hop kings Epik High, singer-producer Gaho and his band KAVE, K-pop kings PENTAGON and KARD, DJ SODA and the Philippines’ own P-pop ace, BGYO, are headlining this one-of-a-kind, spooktacular K-pop party thrown by Pulp Live World and Happee Hour.

Of course, it isn’t a Halloween party without costumes—and as always, Filipinos rose to the occasion with their theatrical, elaborate costumes. Vampires, ghouls, and cartoon characters of all ages walked the arena together, brandishing their lightsticks like a modern-day scyther.

Goin’ Bananas

Some opted for oldies but goodies, like best friends Iris Garcia and Cas Pañaescocia, who came in matching B1 and B2 costumes from the 1992 series “Bananas in Pyjamas!”

Goddess

Maritoni Cruz, 23, stood out from the crowd with her fairy goddess ensemble—she said she came to support her queen, 2NE1 leader CL!

Joker

Others came in themed costumes to match their favorite artists. Justin le Genciana, 29, dressed up as a magician in a sequined red garb—much like the Joker card for his favorite artists KARD.

She braved the rains to see the HALLYUWEENPH2022 headliner, CL. Soriano came as Anya and counts herself as a Universe (Pentagon’s fandom name) who came to see Pentagon.
