SEOUL—K-pop’s most-anticipated rookies ILLIT are set to return this Oct. 21, with their latest mini album “I’LL LIKE YOU.”
This marks the quintet’s first comeback since the release of their debut album in March, which featured the chart-topping lead single “Magnetic.”
In a press release, the groups describes their second mini album as a continuation of their debut album, “SUPER REAL ME.” “‘I’LL LIKE YOU’ tells the story of the ‘self’ that becomes deeply immersed in the moment.”
The girls are set to bring a new kind of “candid charm” for their latest release “as they navigate moments of doubt, and ultimately follow their heart to discover their own answers.”
Since their debut, ILLIT has dominated domestic and international charts, making a name for themselves as one of K-pop’s most successful rookie groups.
Their debut album “SUPER REAL ME” entered the Billboard 200 chart, while the lead single “Magnetic” made history as the first-ever K-pop debut track to enter the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Top 100 charts.
“Magnetic” has now surpassed 400 million streams on Spotify, becoming the fastest K-pop debut track to reach this milestone.
The official release for “I’LL LIKE YOU” is set for Oct. 21, 5 p.m. Philippine standard time (6 p.m. Korean standard time).
