What better way to start the week than by feeling like a magical magnetic girl?
BELIFT LAB’s new girl group, ILLIT, made their debut today, March 25, with their debut EP “SUPER REAL ME.” ILLIT’s debut signals the start of the fifth generation of K-pop girl groups, as the quintet is dedicated to making genuine and sincere music for teenagers.
The girls of ILLIT are “super real” in “Magnetic,” their debut track. “Magnetic” combines house and the trendy “pluggnb” genre, with the soft melodies of RNB and EDM. The quintet gives us the perfect atmospheric lo-fi vibes for a whimsical start to our spring, partnered with the magical visuals of the five girls.
Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha greeted the press for the first time today at their debut media showcase. “To add to ‘Magnetic’s’ authenticity we worked with teenage producers who could capture feelings in the track,” member Yunah told the press.
Goals
Member Wonhee also talked about their goals for “Magnetic,” saying: “I think our goal is to top the music show charts. ‘Magnetic’ is the very first song we are releasing to the public, so if we become first place, that will be very flattering and we will be over the moon.”
The song “Magnetic” is produced by renowned producer Slow Rabbit, along with HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk (popularly known as Bang PD).
“Magnetic” is dreamy and playful, and a perfect fit for the girls’ youthful image. “SUPER REAL ME” features three other tracks: “My World,” “Midnight Fiction” and “Lucky Girl Syndrome.”
