SEOUL—Taesan, Sungho, Jaehyun, Leehan, Riwoo, and Woonhak of rising K-pop group BOYNEXTDOOR live up to their name in their latest track, “Nice Guy.”
The track is the lead single off their new EP “19.99” released today, Sept. 9.
The members of K-pop’s favorite crew are the ultimate pizza delivery boys in the coming-of-age music video for their title track “Nice Guy,” where the six members crash marriage proposals, wake up sleeping babies, turn into Roblox bots, while starting a neighborhood dance party—giving off the ultimate “boys next door” vibe.
Every scene of this comedic and charming music video will have you falling head over heels for the nice guys next door, who are navigating their first part-time jobs. The boys take over Seoul with their suave, yet unapologetically quirky confidence, literally dancing the house down in this witty music video. The boys even include a shoutout to their fans (*wink wink*) in this new video.
“Our music really ties in with the core identity of BOYNEXTDOOR. [We see many fans say] that they wish they could join in and have fun with us or that we remind them of their playful classmates in high school,” Sungho told the press at today’s showcase.
“Nice Guy” is a funky, groovy track, with lyrics by members Jaehyun, Taesan and Woonhak. The track showcases the group’s signature confidence and charms with candid, diaristic lyrics, which “captures the belief that one can charm everyone in the world if one’s mind is set on it.”
“Nice Guy” is the lead single of the group’s third mini EP “19.99,” which is rife with Gen Z energy. The track “displays the overflowing confidence of 19.99 year-old.” Other tracks in the EP are “Gonna Be A Rock,” “SKIT,” “20,” and the hip-hop pre-release “Dangerous.”
