The title of the drama, “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol” is a mouthful but it makes it memorable. It’s the first notes of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”. This type of children’s song is the kind of music you practice on when you are trying to learn how to play the piano.
It makes sense that the lead of “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol” is a pianist. Gu Ra-ra played by Go A-ra is down on her luck and finances. She borrows from Jun Sun-woo played by Lee Jae-wook.
However, Ra-ra is not your typical borrower. She kept bothering Sun-woo for more help. Her style changes Sun-woo’s life. The drama promises hilarious moments between the two of them.
The show is directed by Kim Min-kyoung, while screenplay is by Oh Ji-young (“My Secret, Terrius,” “Shopaholic Louis”).
Go A-ra has done several series including “Hwarang” where she was the only female lead in the cast made up of men which included Park Seo-jun, Park Hyung-sik, Kim Tae-hyung and Choi Min-ho. She also starred in “Reply 1988,” “Black,” “Miss Hammurabi” and “Hospital Playlist”.
Lee Jae-wook is slowly coming into his own as an actor. He was the second lead in the webtoon turned drama “Extraordinary You” and was part of “Search: WWW”.
Kim Ju-hun fresh from the success of “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” is also part of this drama. He played Lee Sang-in in IOTNBO. New episodes will come out every Wednesday and Thursday, every 10 PM.
“Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol” starts streaming on Netflix on Aug. 26.
