South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo‘s photos for her upcoming revenge drama “The Glory” is out.
She plays the lead in the show as Dong-eun. Her character is a victim of school violence and she bidded her time to her revenge on the bullies.
The vengeance genre is something that she wanted to do. She describes Dong-eun as the character that she was looking for in her career.

“Dong-eun suffered high school years of school violence. Her soul is crushed by school violence. However, the school, her parents, the police won’t protect her. She wanted to die, but then she thinks to herself, why is it me who has to die?” said Song Hye-kyo. “After that thought, she thinks that ‘I want the perpetrators to be punished.’ So that’s how she very meticulously machinates a vengeance”
“The Glory” is her second collaboration with writer Kim Eun-soo. They first worked together for the hit drama series “Descendants of the Sun”. She describes that working with the writer as a n honor. It’s her first time working for show director Ahn Gil-ho.
“I realized that Dong-eun could be challenging to play. But director Ahn helped me. He would be the first one on the set,” she said. “Whenever I was in doubt, he would give me the answers. He was truly a supporter of me, playing the role of Dong-eun.”
“The Glory” drops on Dec. 30 on Netflix..
