Maybe the government is playing an April Fool’s joke because they can’t be serious.
While the Pasig mayor is busy serving his constituents during the crucial time of the COVID-19 outbreak, the National Bureau of Investigation actually wants to summon him so he can explain why he “disobeyed national government policy.”
Nice. It’s like being called to the principal’s office while your school is burning to the ground and you have a fire extinguisher in your hand.
Unsurprisingly, the #ProtectVico hashtag is alive again, with many people coming to his defense, including celebrities.
Not that the good mayor couldn’t defend himself. Of course he can.
But that’s not going to stop his supporters from speaking up.
