The official Facebook profile of the popular South Korean variety show “2 days & 1 night” changed their cover photo today, March 12. The change came after the scandal involving one of their mainstays singer-songwriter Jung Joon-young broke out.

The photo that has cast members Kim Jong-min, Jung Joon-young, Yoon Shi-yoon, Defconn, Cha Tae-hyun and Kim Jun-ho was replaced by the logo of the show. The group photo was the cover of the profile since 2016 . The production team of “2 Days & 1 night” announced earlier that they will remove the singer from the show.

The Korea Herald reported that the singer illicitly taped sex videos and shared them via mobile messenger group chat. It was also alleged that 10 women were secretly filmed over a period of 10 months since the beginning of 2015.

The group chat came into light during the separate investigation of Big Bang’s Seungri.

Jung Joon-young’s appearance on the music festival “Beautiful Mint Life 2019” was cancelled. He was also removed from tvN’s “Salty Tour” and “4 Wheeled Restaurant”.

This is the second time singer-rocker left KBS’  “2 Days & 1 Night”. Jung Joon-young took a break from the show on 2016 following a sexual assault charge.  He was acquitted from the case and returned soon after.  His appearances on the upcoming two episodes will be edited out.

Jung Joon-young arrived in South Korea this afternoon to face the charges against him.
