Treasure was the perfect way to start a concert. Their songs are catchy and beautiful and the members were a lot of fun.
They were the first performance in Kpop Masterz in Manila last July 29. They were the first to perform in a show that also featured the Korean boy group Treasure and GOT7 members BamBam and Jackson Wang. The show was held in MOA Arena and it was organized by Pulp.
The order of performances is always based on seniority or ages so Treasure was first to perform. They came out strong with their first song “Jikjin,” setting the tone for the night.
They followed it with their song, “I love you.” The Manila leg was doubly special for the group as it was their first time to have a show outside their home country and the first time they performed for a live audience outside their country.
The group debuted in Aug. 2020, but their formation was documented through the show “YG Treasure Box.” Treasure is made up of 12 members namely Hyunsuk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Jaehyuk, Asahi, Doyoung, Haruto, Jeongwoo and Junghwan. Mashiho and Yedam are currently on a break and couldn’t come with them.
During their speaking ment with host Kring Kim, the boys introduced themselves, making sure to include crowd-pleasing Filipino phrases. Jihoon changed things up a bit by greeting the audience “Magandang Teume” instead of “Magandang araw or gabi.” Teume is the fandom name of Treasure.
Their fans also sang a birthday song for Jaehyuk who celebrated his 21st birthday a few days before the concert.
“I’m very, very happy that I was greeted by Teume. Thank you so much, everyone. Mahal kita,” Jaehyuk told the crowd. They continued their set with the songs “My Treasure” and “MMM” to a hyped-up crowd. Treasure also played a game that night.
They were divided into two teams determined by luck with bato bato pik. One team called themselves Team Guwapo, while the other was Team Mahal Kita.
They had to pose the same way after hearing their key word. They could not discuss it. It was pure chaos on stage. Both teams lost and had to pose together for the crowd. They went on to perform the song “Boy.”
They performed their viral hit “Darari” just when the crowd thought they were leaving the stage without even performing.
