Filipino favorites Park Bo-gum, Kim Soo-hyun and Nam Joo-hyuk are some of the headliners of K-dramas this year.  Korean network TvN released a video lineup for 2020. They include the following:

“Youth Report”

Park Bo-gum is a model named Sa Hye-joon.  He also aspires to switch careers and become an actor. This is Bo-gum’s first drama since “Encounter”. Actress Park So-dam plays Ahn Jung-ha, the makeup artist who fangirls over idols.  So-dam’s last drama was “Cinderella and the Four Knights” but you probably remember her in a film titled “Parasite”. Director Ahn Gil-ho (“Rooftop Prince” and “Memories of the Alhambra”) and writer Ha Myung-hee (“Temperature of Love”) are at the helm of this drama.

“Startup”

Suzy Bae, Nam Joo-hyuk and Kim Seon-ho are the stars of this drama .  Suzy, fresh from the success of “Vagabond”, plays Seo Dal-mi. She quit school to earn enough money to start their own company. Dal-mi’s first love is Nam Do-san played Joo-hyuk.

Do-san built his own tech company two years ago but it is struggling to make money. We still have to find out what Kim Seon-ho’s role is.  However, we know that he is a rising variety show star. He is one of the new members of the fourth season of “2 Days and 1 night”.

This drama reunites Suzy with writer Park Hye-run (“While You Were Sleeping” “Pinocchio” and “Dream High”) and director Oh Choong-hwan (“Hotel del Luna”, “While You Were Sleeping” and “You Who Came from the Stars”).

Cameos are fine but Kim Soo-hyun is finally blessing us with his own drama!  Soo-hyun plays the role of a caregiver in a psychiatric ward. One of the patients is a children’s writer played by Seo Ye-ji.  Director Park Shin-woo (“Encounter”, “Jealousy Incarnate”) and writer Jo Yong (“Jugglers”) are working on this drama.

“Wise Doctor Life”

Yoo Yeon-seok

Yoo Yeon-seok might not be part of “Dr. Romantic 2” but he is donning the scrub again for this drama.  It is about five friends who graduated from the same university. They now work together in the same hospital.  Cho Jung-seok, Kim Dae-myung, Jung Kyoung-ho and Jeon Mi-do play doctors.
