When it’s a matter of life and death, let the new blood of “Dr. Romantic 2” take charge.
Three years have passed since the first season. Dr. Boo Yoong-joo aka Master Kim aka Dr. Romantic (Han Suk-kyu) finds himself in Geodae Hospital again. He went there to recruit new doctors for Doldam Hospital.
Why? Because all the doctors from season 1 are gone. Dr. Kang Dong-joo (Yoo Yeon-seok)was called to “serve the country”, Dr. Yoon Seo-jung (Seo Yeon-jin) went to the US for an exchange program and Dr. Do In-beom (Yang Se-jong) returned to Geodae Hospital.
The shortage in staff means the entry of the new blood. If looks can heal, then everyone will only ever need to spend a very short time at the hospital.
Dr. Cha Eun-jae (Lee Sung-kyung)
A hard-working second year fellow who knows what she is worth. Her hoobaes (juniors) describe her as a legend because she would answer back to anyone who looks down on her. Woo-jin is her friend and rival in the field. She is a good daughter, highly intellectual and talented. The only thing stopping her from becoming the greatest doctor that she can be is her weak stomach. She vomits at the sight of flowing blood and internal organs. Yikes!

Dr. Seo Woo-jin (Ahn Hyo-seop)
The secret protector and guardian of Eun-jae. He sticks out his neck for her even when she doesn’t notice it. Woo-jin is at the top of his class and a very talented surgeon. Master Kim handpicked him despite being ostracized by his fellow doctors because he revealed the anomalies in the previous hospital he worked for . Yes, his nerves of steel during operation is admirable, but you have to give respect to someone who prioritizes patients over profit.
Dr. Bae Mun-jeong (Shin Dong-wook)
Now, orthopedic patients no longer need to be transferred to another hospital! In Season one, not having a “bone doctor” forced Doldam to send their patients to another hospital two hours away. But Mun-jeong is not just filling a hole in the hospital. His appearance kept Eun-jae in Doldam. She almost walked away from the hospital on her first day if not for him. Eun-jae admitted that she had a huge crush on him while they were studying, even going as far as joining the Bone Club for him.
Dr. Yoon Ah-reum (Dr. So Joo-yeon)
The cheerful emergency surgery specialist brightens the day of anyone she meets. Her compassion puts people at ease, thus she earns her patients’ trust easily. She is the only doctor from Geodae Hospital who went to Doldam on her own. Her motivation is to learn from the best. To her, the best is Master Kim. We think she and Nurse Eun-tak will be an item soon.

Park Eun-tak (Kim Min-jae)
He is not new cast and he is not even a doctor. But we are re-introducing our favorite nurse because we are seeing him in a new light. In the first season, Eun-tak’s screen time is limited to reactions. He is often delegated to say, “yes, doctor!” and “daebak!” A lot has happened since then. Actor Kim Min-jae has been part of successful series since then. He played the young Wang Yeo in “Goblin” and Mahoon in “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency”. Thus, Kim gets more airtime, more close-ups and more lines in this new season. No complaints here!
