Kpop group iKON will return to the Philippines.
Jay, Song, Bobby, DK, Ju-ne and Chan will return to the country for their “2023 iKON WORLD TOUR TAKE OFF IN MANILA” on August at the Araneta Coliseum. Since their inception in 2015, iKON is known as a powerhouse group. They gave life to hit songs such as “Love Scenario” and “Killing Me” Over the span of their career, they have released 18 singles, 4 studio albums, and 4 extended plays. Their wide discography speak so much of the members’ talents. They consistently bring hits that top charts and amass several accolades in a short amount of time.
Now, they are back stronger than ever with the latest album ‘Take Off’. ‘Take Off’ is also the first album that they have released since signing under their new agency, 143 Entertainment.
Worldwide promotions
The album comes along with the title track ‘U’ which was composed and written by Bobby. Its music video now has over 9.1 million YouTube views. ‘Take Off’ features nine other songs; “Tantara,” “Rum Pum Pum,” “Like a Movie,” “Driving Slowly,” “Never Forget You,” “All the Way Here,” “Fighting,” and “Kiss Me.” This same album has also broken iKON’s sales record as it gained over 90,000 copies sold on its first day of release. The record was previously held by their fourth mini-album, “Flashback.,” which had over 70,000 units sold during its first week. iKON’s latest album only took one day to surpass ‘FLASHBACK’s first-week sales.
In 2023, nothing can stop iKON from conquering the world through a massive tour they have launched as a promotion of their newest album. This tour started in Seoul, South Korea, and spans major countries in Asia, US, and Europe.
Each time they shout their intro “Get ready, It’s Showtime!”, iKON definitely puts their best foot forward in giving an awesome show beyond expectation. In 2018, they did a sold-out show in the Philippines with the tour “iKON Continue Tour” and just last year, they flew back to the Philippines as the headliner of “K-Pop Masterz 2”. Without a doubt, they carry this same energy as they continue to explore their music and identity as a group.
