EXO Kai wins in Blue Dragon Series Award

Kim Jong-in, more popularly known as EXO’s Kai, wins Best New Male Entertainer in the first Blue Dragon Series Awards. It is the first award ceremony targeting the streaming series content in South Korea. The event took place at the Paradise City, Incheon on July 19. It was hosted by Jun Hyun-moo and actress Im Yoon-ah.

Kai won the award for his participation in the variety show “New World.” The Netflix Original brought Kai along with Lee Seung-gi, Eun Ji-won, Kim Hee-chul, Jo Bo-ah and Park Na-rae in a utopian world where all their dreams come true. Kai proved to be a natural in the show. He was considered one of the newbies but he was able able to keep up with all the tricks that variety show veterans threw at him.

The discovery that he could do well in a variety show also came up in one of the episodes of “EXO Ladder.” Other members of his group were praising Kai for a job well done.
