This sale wants to help local businesses bounce back

Lazada kicked off June with the Lazada 6.6. Bounce Back Sale, promising twice the number of sellers and brands compared to last year. 

This is the shopping platform’s way of giving back to their loyal consumers while also supporting local brands and small businesses in recovering from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. 

Expect big discounts during the sale, held from June 4 to 6. Get Havaianas Hype Flip Flops Mens for P687 at 45% off. They were originally P1,249. Apple AirPods 2 with Charging Case? They used to be P9,590, they’re now just P7,690. Binge-watch on a bigger screen by getting a Devant 50-inch SMART UHD TV at P18,000 from P26,450. Crazy about Gundam? Gundam PG 1/60 Perfect Strike Gundam (Gunpla) used to be P16,999.75—it’s now at P13,500

Lazada worked with the DTI Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion in making sure that the sale highlights plenty of local products and businesses too. Over 400 MSMEs under DTI Go Lokal and DTI Virtual Trade Fair are participating. 

“We have continued to onboard more brands and sellers since the start of the ECQ to help them get started on their eCommerce journey. We want to keep on supporting our sellers, especially our local SMEs, recover from the effects of COVID-19 through our Bounce Back Sale,” says Carlos Barrera, Lazada Philippines’ Chief Operating Officer.

Buy abaca footwear from Sundals, which is run by single mom Evan Marie Arellano. Sundals sources her abaca from microcommunities in Bicol, Cebu and Laguna and the pairs are handcrafted by locals.

Get your dose of barako coffee from Ala Eh Barako, run by Jeffrey and Tatiana Hitosis.

Check out local brand Cotton Stuff’s clothes and toddlers for babies and Akeeva’s playpens, car seats and high chairs. Parents can find essentials made with all-natural and organic ingredients from brands like Tiny Buds, Nature to Nurture, Cradle and Cycles.
