After releasing a limited-edition shirt inspired by Circus, the 1994 album by the Eraserheads, Linya-Linya expands their collab merch line with a limited edition shirt inspired by Cutterpillow, the band’s 1995 album which features the songs “Superproxy,” “Huwag Mo nang Itanong,” “Torpedo,” “Overdrive” and “Ang Huling El Bimbo.”
The design features the song titles blended with the album art cover. “Nakakaindak. Nakakaaliw. Nakakatindig-balahibo.”
“A lot of our favorite Eraserheads songs came from this album and we want to celebrate its legacy by releasing this shirt,” said Ali Sangalang, Creative Director of LinyaLinya.
For Sangalang, launching a Cutterpillow tribute shirt is a no-brainer. “Mula sa ’90s kids hanggang sa generation ngayon, ang laking bahagi at impluwensya talaga ng music ng Eraserheads sa buhay ng mga Pinoy.”
Eraserheads isn’t the only band Linya-Linya has worked with. As a champion of Filipino culture, the brand hosts events and launches merch collabs including the recent tribute shirt for The Itchyworms which they came out with in September.
According to Sangalang, OPM fans can expect more from the partnership before the year ends.
