In celebration of the 11th anniversary of BTS, Filipino ARMYs joined together for a fan gathering event, “Purple It Up, Araneta”, held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last Jun. 13, Thursday.
Brought together by Araneta City: The City of Firsts, B★VERSE Manila, and BTS ARMY QC, the program was filled with music and games dedicated to their beloved band.
Araneta City also highlighted “7 Boats for 7 Boys”, a fundraising campaign led by Filipino ARMYs together with the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation. The organization aims to bridge the gap to quality education by providing boats for students who need to cross bodies of water to get to school. Inspired by BTS’ philanthropic efforts, ARMYs hope to honor their legacy by raising enough money to donate seven of these boats named after each BTS member.
“We at B★VERSE Manila wanted to make this day even more special through this ‘Purple It Up, Araneta’ event,” said Irene Jose, Chief Operating Officer of Uniprom, Inc. “We are very happy to see ARMYs gather here at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to celebrate the 11th anniversary of BTS. We hope to see them enthralled by the B★VERSE Manila immersive exhibit until August 15.”
