Yes, henny. “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 12 is finally happening, filling the “Drag Race”-shaped void in our hearts. It launches on Feb. 28 on VH1 in the US (but we’re hoping this means a Feb. 28 launch for the rest of us on Netflix).
They made the big Ruveal on Twitter.
And here are the 13 queens who will be competing for $100,000 (and your—and MamaRu’s—love).
Who will steal your heart?
Would it be Aiden Zhane from Georgia? She promises to “give you something that has never been on this show, period.”
Or maybe Brita, a New York City drag queen who is “anything but pure”?
We have our eye on quirky Crystal Methyd from Missouri. We like a budget girl.
Check out Dahlia Sin whose name was inspired by the Black Dahlia. Aja from Season 9 is her drag mom.
Gigi Goode started doing drag when she was 15. She said, “Pretty much 90% of the time Gigi Goode is lost and delusional…” We can’t wait to see that.
Heidi N Closet has leapt out of the closet and onto your screen. She calls herself a dancing queen.
Jackie Cox is a New York queen who calls herself a campy, fun queen “who is like your cool aunt.” She’s the first queen of Iranian heritage on “Drag Race.” Yay, Jackie.
Wisconsin queen Jaida Essence Hall is all confidence: “I am the essence of beauty.” Spoken like a true pageant girl.
Jan gets the award for shortest name this season. Two quick things about this New York queen: her full name is actually Jan Sport and her drag mom is Alexis Michelle from Season 9.
A French queen, finally! We’re obsessed with Nicky Doll’s sexy accent.
Rock M Sakura is an “anime, J-pop, manga queen” from San Francisco. That mug is giving us Kim Chi and Trixie Mattel vibes and we’re here for it.
Get a slice of this Sherry Pie.
Kansas queen Widow Von’Du named herself after black widow spiders because they’re big, black and dangerous. “That’s me, b*tch.” She has a tip for everyone who will be watching the show: “Y’all better not blink ‘coz if you blink, y’all are gonna miss some fun.”
We can’t wait for this season to start.
