“I can do it!” A smiling Park Eun-bin was cheering herself as she made a flower bouquet for the first time. The talented actress was in the country last June 24 for a fan meeting. The event was promoted by Wilbros Live.

She entertained the audience during the fan meeting with songs, dances, games, and personalized presents. She eventually gave the flower bouquet to a fan celebrating her birthday. “Don’t forget to show your ID,” she said, asking for proof.  The audience laughed.

Whether portraying different characters, answering questions from the press, interacting with her fans, or arranging flowers, Park could not help but give her best, because that is who she is.

Park began her acting career at the age of five. Now 30, Park’s success could be attributed to her sincerity, passion, and eagerness to learn, just like her beloved and award-winning character lawyer Woo Young-woo.

“Mabuhay! Ako po si Park Eun-bin, “Ikinagagalak kong makita kayo. Na-miss ko kayo,” she said.

It was her second trip to the country in eight months. Park not only learned a lot of Filipino words for her second fan meeting, but she also knew when to say them. Her timing is impeccable.

Knowing the power of words and her celebrity, she took advantage of every opportunity to be a positive influence for her Bingos (fandom) Here is Park Eun-bin, just being her genuine self, with her random but honest words of wisdom:

On traveling, she said “the simpler the better.”  Her cell phone and battery charger are her must-have travel essentials for overseas trips. Her ideal vacation does not consist of visiting various locations. She prefers to chill and unwind in one place.

Park said that she welcomes all kinds of opinions.

“I am totally an introvert,” she said. Park continued to say that she prefers the power to be invisible to the ability to fly because flying would only make her the center of attention. Becoming invisible would allow her to go anywhere, including places where people talk about her because she is curious about what other people think about her.

She went on and asked her fans to comment on her social media accounts about what they would like to see her do and for recommendations for vacation destinations in the Philippines.

She told her fans that they have complete control over the things you do.

“Kayo na ang bahala sa sarili n’yo.” The audience laughed at the Filipino translation of Park’s explanation.  She said that while she receives a lot of help from other people, she is aware that the only person who can overcome her own challenges is her. She added that to conquer whatever life throws at us, we must believe in ourselves and our abilities.

DAESANG MOMENT

The actress said that they should enjoy the present moment. When the video receiving her Daesang (Baeksang Arts Awards Grand Prize) was played, the crowd stood up to give her a standing ovation.

She said the applause gave her goosebumps because it reminded her of the day when her dream of winning the award came true.

Salamat po. Ang saya-saya ko,” she said. The award motivated her to work harder but not to the point that she is overthinking her future goals. The award does not feel like a burden. She considers it one of the best moments in her life and wishes to savor the joy for the time being. Her mom taught her not to wait for birthdays because every day is precious.

She told her fans to live a meaningful life.  If given the opportunity to meet her future self, she would ask her, “How did you live your life?”

Finally, she believes that the best is yet to come.  Each character she played is memorable since they each have a unique story. She makes it a point to learn from each project she takes on.

CASTAWAY DIVA

“My best character is my future character,” she said. She also talked about her upcoming project, “Castaway Diva.” The story revolves around her character, who got stranded on an island for 15 years. She excitedly shared that she would be singing and playing the guitar for the role.

“The Philippines has many islands, so I think my Filipino fans will be able to relate to it,” she said.  She said that she will bring home the energy she gained from her fans back to her home country.

She apologized for not being able to greet them at the airport the last time she was in the country. She was not expecting the number of people wanting to welcome her at the airport so she made a point to greet them this time around.

Her sincerity and determination and attitude are just some of the reasons that endear Park Eun-bin to her fans.
