Can’t get enough of seeing Ahn Hyo-seop’s glamor and glory in “Business Proposal?”
Before Hyo-seop’s captivating act in “Business Proposal,” he has played a lot of remarkable characters, too. There is definitely more to him than just being President Kang Tae-moo. Here are other shows where you can fully enjoy the bits and pieces of this Canadian hottie!
Dr. Romantic
Out of all the characters Hyo-seop played, being Seo Woo-jin was the most special to him for he was drawn to it and found happiness in the series. “Dr. Romantic” revolves around the lives of doctors in Doldam, a run-down hospital they work at. Since its first season in 2016, second season in 2020, and its recent comeback this year, the show has been consistently well-loved by its viewers even with the long intervals.
Playing as a general surgery specialist and Cha Eun-jae’s (Lee Sung-kyung) love interest, he particularly enjoyed being immersed in Woo-jin’s life and studying medical terms and the usage of surgical instruments. He also loved how the show teaches us what to prioritize in life and the unified and unwavering will of the series’ team. Surely, there’s a more mature and smarter side of Ahn Hyo-seop that you’ll see if you try “Dr. Romantic.”
Still 17
If you want to see Ahn Hyo-seop in his ‘fetus’ form, you might want to watch “Still 17.” Playing as the bright and ever-cheerful Yoo Chan, he effortlessly reminded the viewers of their high school years. Hyo-seop strived so hard to meet Chan’s star athlete physique by training a lot but unintentionally lost a lot of weight during the filming. Nevertheless, his fans were still grateful for the effort he had put in to give justice to his character.
With his utmost determination to be better at his craft each day, his fans couldn’t help but love him more!
Top Management
With “Top Management” airing in 2018, you will witness the young and talented version of Ahn Hyo-seop through Hyun Soo-young. To give justice to his character, Hyo-seop had to learn how to play a Mongolian instrument, piano, and guitar. He also had to learn a lot about dancing but enjoyed a lot in discovering the hidden talents beneath his pretty face.
Ahn Hyo-seop in “Top Management” has been the talk of the viewers globally. Fans have specifically loved him for his musical abilities. Aside from this, the drama revealed the emotional struggles of K-Pop stars which made the series more relatable and realistic for the viewers.
Abyss
Every viewer fell in love with Cha-min in “Abyss” for his sly acting, mesmerizing eyes, and his warm and affectionate actions. Through Cha-min’s stellar performance, Ahn Hyo-seop earned a nomination for Best New Actor in the 12th Korean Drama Awards in 2019. Park Bo-young portrays Go Se-yeon, a prosecutor, while Ahn Hyo-seop plays Cha Min, the wealthy heir to a cosmetics company. Both of them pass away in different occurrences, but a mysterious stone resurrects them in entirely different bodies. While partnering to determine Se-yeon’s cause of death, the two fell in love.
Ahn Hyo-seop felt pressured at first because the character he plays is considered very handsome and is always fazed at how good he looks. But his fans and the crew assured him that he is fit for the role and he’s very cool and handsome. If you’re in for a romantic comedy with a bit of fantasy, do not forget to put “Abyss” in your watchlist!
A Time Called You
Who doesn’t love love? Ahn Hyo-seop took the role of Si-heon in “A Time Called You” for those people who have always believed in the power of love. With this series as his most recent one, he shared how curious he was of how the portrayal of sacrificing of love would look on him.
