Podcasts are the fastest growing media these days. Maybe you’re thinking of making one yourself, or you’ve already got one but want to take it to the next level. PumaPodcast, the Philippines’ first podcast network and an industry leader in podcast production, is holding a workshop for a cause this Nov. 21.
“One of PumaPodcast’s producers (and a really awesome person) needs help with her family’s medical bills. We’re hoping we can all help her by hanging out and talking about podcasting,” says a representative from the network.
In the workshop, veteran journalist and PumaPodcast chief executive officer Roby Alampay will give a talk about why he got into podcasting and what we can all do to help grow podcasting in the Philippines. PumaPodcast’s podcasts were archived by the US Library of Congress’ Podcast Preservation Project—a first in the Philippines and in Asia. Chief operating officer Carl Javier will talk about how to develop concepts.
Participants will also go into rooms where they can discuss their pod ideas. PumaPodcast mentors will join the brainstorming to help you with tips to start or improve your podcast!PumaPodcast workshop via Google Meet is on Nov. 14, 2-4 p.m.
