The five-member P-Pop boy band group, SB19, has been trailblazing the global pop scene since their debut single “Tilaluha” in 2018.
A’TINs’ (fandom) have supported SB19 from the beginning. The monster group now has over 1.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify and almost a million followers on Instagram.
The group consists of proudly Filipino-born members: John, Pablo, Stell, Ken, and Justin. They were trained by the Philippines-based ShowBT group. They are the first Filipinos to appear at the Billboard Next Sound chart in October 2019.
SB19’s Impact on the Philippines’ Pop Culture
The group slowly rose to fame making their mark in P-Pop.

Some of the awards they received are Maharlikang Filipino Awards (2022), CICP Spotlight Awards (2020), PPOP Awards as Favorite Pop Boy Group of the Year (2019), Wish Music Awards ‘Group of the Year’ (2023), PMPC Star Awards (2022), TikTok Awards Philippines, Myx Music Awards, and Awit Awards.
These awards show how influential the emerging group is in terms of culture and music industry in the Philippines. Their single “Gento” taken the global scene by storm as Korean artists took on the Gento Challenge.
The group will be performing with &Team on a collaboration stage at the Asia Artists Awards on Dec. 14 at the Philippine Arena, Bulacan. The event is promoted locally by Pulp Live World and powered by Metrobank and Smart.
